Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website at authored.tech (the "Site") and the Authored early-access waitlist (collectively, the "Service") operated by Roberto Tucci, founder of Authored ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing the Site or joining the waitlist, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Pre-launch Status

Authored is currently in a pre-launch phase. The Service consists exclusively of an informational website and a waitlist for early access. The full Authored product (behavioral biometric certification for human authorship) is not yet available. Specifications, features, pricing and timelines described on the Site are provided in good faith but may change without notice and do not constitute a binding offer.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Waitlist Subscription

When you submit your email address through the waitlist form, you agree to receive launch notifications and occasional product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email we send, or by emailing roberto.tucci@authored.tech. Subscription does not guarantee access to the future Authored product and does not create any commercial relationship between you and us.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service, servers or related infrastructure
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information (including using email addresses you do not own)
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the Service except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law
• Scrape, crawl or harvest content from the Site for commercial purposes without prior written permission

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, design, source code, the Authored name and trademark, and any underlying technology and methods — is the exclusive property of Roberto Tucci or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display or exploit any content from the Site without our prior written consent.

Limited license: we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and view the Site for your personal, non-commercial use.

6. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services (including LinkedIn, Google Analytics, MongoDB Atlas) that are not owned or controlled by us. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the Site will be error-free, secure, or accessible at all times.

Statistics and figures cited on the Site (e.g. accuracy rates, market data, percentage claims) are illustrative and reflect our current research expectations. They do not constitute a binding commitment regarding the future Authored product's actual performance.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Roberto Tucci or Authored be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from your access to or use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed EUR 100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable mandatory law (including consumer protection laws of your country of residence).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Roberto Tucci, Authored and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason — including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law) will survive.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the date of the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated to waitlist subscribers by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Rome, Italy, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
